Profile - Dr Katy Arscott

Dr Katy Arscott is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with both the British Psychological Society and the Health Professions Council.  She has over 15 years' experience working in both mental health and learning disability services across community, residential and hospital settings.  Alongside her clinical work, she has spent many years in a teaching / research post at the Tizard Centre, University of Kent at Canterbury.

Katy works within Applied Behavioural Analysis, Cognitive and Systemic frameworks, recognising both the individuality of each person with Autism and the importance of working with each person within the system that supports them (care staff, family, friends etc.)

Although enjoying her work in community learning disability teams, Katy has relished this opportunity of developing a psychology service for a small number of people with a learning disability, Autism and challenging behaviour.
